_The O-Filter Manifesto
The fine tuned work of exhibiting art must be freed of all strangleholds. Seeing and understanding what is, without frills; this is our destiny as promoters of artists. In our ever growing devotion, we are only concerned with the artist's work and the public's regard. We aim to protect the development of talent, freeing it of all outside opinion.
Caught in the post-post-post-modern and the post-post-post-industrial maelstrom, we must liberate codes in order to reveal the fundamental signs of the existence of Art. We must tease apart the complexity of artifice in order to dive into its very essence. Procuring immanent pleasure is our ultimate goal. We need to simply return to this objective.
It does not matter whether art's inflection is reflective or purely aesthetic! It is only within the response to the first movement of creation that we can authenticate the quality, honesty, and consistency of an artist. Let's facilitate the message!
Trends are obliterated under History's intangible stare. Talented artists can be spotted if we allow them to unfurl. And even though the clamor and roar are never far away, artists do not need intermediaries to push them into disgrace and oblivion. Let's go back to the source of life through art in all its splendor and its failures.
The intermediaries also need to change their terms. The curator, the gallery owner, the collector, public and private institutions are also entitled to freely enjoy what artists truly need to say. No more commissions. Only inspiration, followed by the materialized idea, which is then exhibited.
O-filter (Zero-filter) allows direct input between the person who receives and perceives an artist's work (the public, the gallery owner, the collector, the public and private institutions) and the artist himself. This direct input does not negate the function of those who choose which artist to present. We thus highlight the receiver and the artist as protagonists. The roles have thus slipped spatially, for the sake of the exhibition and for each and everyone.
Within our acquired artistic training and rigor, we need to let go. We are only too aware of the role and meaning of our profession to deracinate them with our manifesto. This innovation aims only to be free after decades of commercial and administrative suffocation. We are simply the zero from which figures originate. Let's create a new form of action-reaction-interaction. In order to absorb, assimilate, and enjoy.
We want raw exhibits with all the delicacy and finesse of an individual's gaze. This staging will be achieved thanks to the harmony of uncompromising generosity.
Let us fully experience the artist-receiver relationship, sustaining both exchanges and direct confrontation. We must demystify the process in order to rediscover the essential core: Art
For the liberation of the artist, the intermediary, and the public!
