PRESENTAZIONE LIBRO D'ARTISTA
THE ITALIAN ALPHABET HAS 21 LETTERS
martedì 16 Settembre| 19 - 22
MEDIONAUTA Via Confalonieri 2, Milano.

ARTIST'S BOOK PRESENTATION
THE ITALIAN ALPHABET HAS 21 LETTERS
16th September| 7 - 10pm
MEDIONAUTA Via Confalonieri 2, Milan, Italy.
The artist’s book is a product of research in language and words. Comparing different alphabets, taking the Italian alphabet as reference, the artist created a short illustrated collection of letters and words in different languages. The languages included in the book are those spoken by the people personally connected to the artist. The book intends to show the limits of one data language and simultaneously reveals the similarities of distant languages.
For the presentation at Medionauta, the book is accompanied by the song The place where words change by JERMOZERO. The musician, who collaborated for several years with Rebecca, has created an unreleased music that accompanies and integrates the landscapes drawn on the pages of the book itself.

UNTITLED WITH SUBTITLE
(google translation concept for low budget projects) Let’s cut the Gordian knot. Everyday Renaissance needs no explanation. You can tell. It’s clear. You can interpret it in some different levels, it depends only on the key you have in your hand (... And one man in his time plays many parts...*). - For those who are not easily satisfied: in Everyday Renaissance ( After All ... ) there is no staging. This is life. The not-beauty of the banality. It ‘ a joke, an ironic game, a quote. There is more Pirandello than Viola, more Woolf than Sherman, more De Angelis than Modugno , more Sally than Charlie (Brown). |
